Acceptable Use & Anti-Spam Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It exists for a practical reason as much as a legal one: our customers share sending infrastructure and a reputation. One person sending garbage damages everyone else's deliverability. We enforce this policy, and we enforce it quickly.
1. The sending rules
Every message you send through Govarova must:
- identify you truthfully — real sender name, real company, no forged headers, no deceptive subject lines;
- include a working, one-click unsubscribe that you honour promptly;
- be sent to a business address in a business context, for a reason you can articulate if challenged;
- be relevant to the recipient's professional role. "They have an email address" is not a reason.
2. What is prohibited
You may not use Govarova to:
- send unsolicited bulk email in breach of applicable law, or email anyone who has opted out;
- email purchased, rented, scraped-from-consumer-sources, or otherwise unlawfully obtained lists;
- contact individuals in a personal or consumer capacity, rather than a business one;
- send anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, sexually explicit, or hateful;
- promote malware, phishing, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent offers;
- attempt to bypass unsubscribe handling, suppression lists, or sending limits;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute our contact database, or use it to build a competing dataset;
- probe, load-test, or attack our infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits.
3. The data rules
You must have a lawful basis for every record you upload and every person you contact. If you cannot say what that basis is, do not upload it. You must honour deletion and opt-out requests from the people on your lists, and you must not re-import a contact who has asked you to stop.
4. Deliverability hygiene
Verify before you send. Warm new sending domains gradually. Keep your bounce rate under 3% and your complaint rate under 0.1%. These are not suggestions — sustained breaches damage shared infrastructure, and we will suspend an account that will not fix them.
5. How we enforce this
We monitor bounce rates, complaint rates, and spam-trap hits. Depending on severity we may throttle your sending, suspend the account, or terminate it. Where the breach is causing active harm we will act first and discuss afterwards. Termination for breach of this policy does not entitle you to a refund.
6. Reporting abuse
If you received an email sent through Govarova that breaches this policy, tell us: abuse@govarova.com. Include the full message headers if you can. We investigate every report.
To be removed from a sender's list, use the unsubscribe link in the message. To be removed from our database entirely, use the opt-out form or email legal@govarova.com.
